Yabu: House of Katsu at The Atrium, SM Megamall. In my honest opinion, they serve the best Katsu. Love at first bite, its so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You just have to try it!
Foodgasmmmm.. enough said!

Yabu Table Condiments. (Japanese salt for the Edamame, sesame dressing, vinaigrette for the salad, Tonkatsu sauce and more)

Potato Salad (Potato cubes tossed in creamy mayonnaise mustard dressing) and Hiyayakko Tofu (Cold silken tofu cubes in ponzu sauce, sprinkled with bonito flakes) for our appetizer.

For me: Kurobuta Pork Set (20g., 3/4 inch thick, juicy, flaky pork. Kurobuta, also known as the Black Berkshire pig, is the world’s finest pork. It is called the kobe beef of pork, due to its rich marbling, softness, and flavor)

For him: Rosu Katsu Curry (Their homemade curry is made with 45 ingredients and slow cooked to perfection. Tell their server just how spicy you want it: mild, regular or hot)
The steps to create that perfect Tonkatsu sauce is easy. Simply remember: Grind - Pour - Mix - Dip.

Grind the Sesame seeds

Pour the Tonkatsu Sauce

Mix and dip!

My co-nomnomnomer <3

I wanted a shot of Ruins of St.Paul while the sun is up so I went here first thing in the morning. However when I got there I thought to myself, good thing I also went there the night before because in that way I was able to take a picture of the church without too many people/clutter.

Wishing Crystals at Galaxy Macau

Hard Rock at City of Dreams

Went to The Weekly Fair located at Taipa Village for my last minute shopping.

Dancing Diamond at Galaxy Macau

Til next time! xoxo

Third day was spent touring the country. Started the day at McDonald’s Senado Sqare for breakfast.

We’re so lucky because we went here just after chinese new year’s that’s why all the flowers and lights are still on display.

Then went to Grand Prix Museum which showcases the history of Macau Grand Prix. It also honors Filipino driver Arsenio “Dodjie” Laurel, the first person to win the Macau Grand Prix back-to-back.

The best place in town to pick up wine is indeed Asia’s first museum dedicated to the art of wine drinking – the Wine Museum.

Rode the elevator 338 meters up to the observation deck of Macau Tower for a grand view of Macau.

I planned on doing the bungy jump, I’m mentally and emotionally I think? prepared for it but the funny thing is that my wallet is not. I wasn’t aware it will cost that much, it’s a freaking $3188 HK dollars, approx P19,000 to voluntary jump!
After Macau Tower we went to the Fisherman’s Wharf then Oceanus to try my beginner’s luck.

Macau is known for its casinos, so it means abundant lights ala Las Vegas and that’s what I love about this country most. I love taking photos of lights, I love photos taken by slow shutter, and I love taking picture of myself, so…

Watched the Dancing Fountain at Wynn Hotel 5x because it’s just too spectacular.

Last stop is the Garden at MGM Grand Macau.
First stop on our trip is the The Venetian. Everything in here is just majestic, anywhere you look is just luxurious. It’s a hotel and casino and is the largest single structure hotel building in Asia.

You can also find the Venice here which is such a beauty. The cloud ceiling just looks so real.

Gondola Ride is one of my favorite activity we did on our trip. The gondoliers will serenade you as you take a leisurely ride through the shops at the Grand Canal.

Of course I just have to try every milk tea shop. lol

I didn’t do any shopping for over a month because I was saving for my trip here. Normally, if it’s summer here in our country.. jackets and other cold season clothes are on sale and vise versa. So I thought because it’s winter in Macau maybe their summer clothes are on sale… thinking that I can even get maybe 5 pairs of bikinis. However, I didn’t see any hint of summer clothing when I was there. </333
So I just have to make up for it by going gaga at Sasa. Hahaha cornyyy

Turkey for dinner

Second day is all day shopping day. ;)

That pink suitcase is a bargain!

At Ruins of St. Paul with my mother dear

More shopping at Senado Square

Ending the day with some street food and Come Buy milk tea. <3
Wee Nam Kee is one of the new reasons why I’m loving my favorite mall Alabang Town more and more. We don’t need to go all the way to Serendra whenever we’re craving for chicken-that-doesnt-make-you-feel-guilty-even-if-you-eat-the-whole-thing (because we think the food here is healthy). ;P I think because of our nomnomnoms, Carlo and I already finished trying all the restaurants from atc so we we’re just so happy that this year they opened a lot, I mean a lot of new restos… so watch out for us! Especially you Bon Chon Chicken, P.F. Chang’s, John and Yoko, Johnny Rockets plus Gong Cha and Chatime plus more! So here’s what we ate:

Wee Name Kee chicken rice

Hainanese Chicken - half roasted, half steamed

Beef with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

Chinese new year dinner at Kirin, Fort Bonifacio and then Jamba Juice after.
Eating out, trying different cuisine is one of our favorite thing to do as a couple but it really torn us because of course its really hard to stay in shape. I remember we started this “tradition” of ours back in 2009 wherein whenever we see each other, we will eat in a restaurant that we haven’t tried before and order food that is good for a family, because we’re just fat kids like that hahaha! May it be a well known resto or some hole in a wall kind of place and since then I gained so much weight and so much cheeks plus flabs that’s why by the end of 2011 I did some serious diet and he on the other hand did some fat-burning activities. So this 2012, we decided to continue the tradition but now instead of around 6 resto in a month, we cut it in half and the amount of food we order as well. So for the month of January, here are CARLONAH’S nomnomnoms:

Brunch at Borough, The Podium

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

Rigatoni ala Vodka

All Beef Cheeseburger and Strawberry Smoothie

Mom’s Milk and Cookies

Dinner at Bubba Gumb, Greenbelt 3 after watching Sherlock Holmes 2

Chicken Vegetable Soup (complimentary soup from the staff)

Spicy Shrimp Rigatoni

Shrimper’s Heaven (Coconut shrimp, chilly shrimp, fried shrimp, hush pups, fries and of course dipping sauce)

Dinner at Kenny Rogers Roasters, Paseo de Santa Rosa
Yeah Kenny Rogers is not something new, but the branch is so. :P

Another year with him. :*

Spent Christmas day at my uncle’s new house.
Kate Spade New York Mikas Pond Jules wallet for me. My previous wallet was with me for I think around 3 years and I got so used to it already that I am not comfortable using other wallets anymore. Whether it can’t hold all of my things, it’s not organized like how I want it to be because of the design or I just don’t feel the lucky wallet vibe in it. So this Christmas, I’m so thankful that he got me a new wallet but with the same style as my old one but BETTER! He even put a dollar in it for luck. A bifold wallet with 8 credit card slots, single bill fold, ID card slot, 4 additional slide pockets, zipper closure change pocket and not but not the least a slot for our picture! Plus its Kate Spade, its pink and its sooo me! Thank you so much babe. <3

What I got for him are:

Fred Perry polo shirt

Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad 2 by Moshi

Cleave iphone 4S case
